Liangfang Li

Ph.D. Candidate
Sun Yat-sen University

Welcome!

Greetings! I’m Liangfang Li (李良芳), a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Psychology at Sun Yat-sen University. I’m honored to be under the guidance of Prof. Zhengjia Dai, whose mentorship has been invaluable to my research journey.

My academic passion lies in leveraging advanced neuroimaging techniques to elucidate the neural mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders, cognitive processes, and emotions. I hope my efforts will make a meaningful contribution to the field of precision neuroimaging.

Outside of my research, I’m an avid dog enthusiast with a special fondness for Golden Retrievers and Samoyeds, and I look forward to welcoming a furry companion into my life after I obtain my Ph.D. degree. In my free time, I stay active with badminton and music, and I’m also a devoted fan of DaoYueShe (盗月社食遇记), a popular Chinese food vlog.

Research Interests

My current research focuses on the following areas:

  • Precision Brain Mapping

    • Developing novel approaches for individual-specific brain parcellation
  • Translational Neuroscience and Personalized Neuromodulation

    • Identifying circuits associated with psychiatric disorder
    • Exploring personalized neuromodulation strategies for clinical applications
  • Computational Neuroscience

    • Applying advanced machine learning and AI techniques to neuroimaging data analysis
    • Developing computational models to simulate and predict brain function and dysfunction

Education Experience

  • 2018/09 - present: Ph.D. candidate, Department of Psychology, Sun Yat-sen University (中山大学, SYSU), Guangzhou, China. Supervisor: Prof. Zhengjia Dai

  • 2014/09 - 2018/06: B.S. in Psychology (with honors), Department of Psychology, Sun Yat-sen University (中山大学, SYSU), Guangzhou, China
